Rosewood Hong Kong has appointed Angus Pitkethley as its new director of sales and marketing.Pitkethley will be responsible for implementing sales and marketing strategies for both hotel and residence operations, including managing their overall sales and distribution strategies, marketing programmes, annual budgets and revenue generation.
With over 27 years of experience in global hotel sales and marketing, Pitkethley began his career with Marriott International, culminating in his position as area director of sales and marketing in Brussels. He was last director of sales and marketing at Park Hyatt New York for close to three years following his position as director of sales and marketing at Rosewood Little Dix Bay based at Rosewood’s New York Regional Office for four years.
During this time, he also held taskforce director of sales and marketing assignments at The Carlyle, a Rosewood Hotel and Rosewood Bermuda.

Back in 2018, Rosewood Hong Kong appointed Simon Gilkes as director of sales and marketing. In this role, Gilkes will implement sales and marketing strategies as part of the pre-opening team for the Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, based out of Hong Kong.
Having worked in hospitality for over 18 years, he joined from sbe London (formally Morgans Hotel Group) where he oversaw three hotels in London as regional director of sales & marketing.
He began his career as part of the manager-in-development programme at The Boca Raton Resort and Club upon graduating from the University of Surrey. He then relocated to New York City and joined The Regency New York.
